My fairwell to the ones who no longer have a meaning but a past memory... I wave good bye

Wave Good Bye        12/14/08

So I wave goodbye to the weakening ties I was bounded by

Friendships made of diluted compositions not fit to withstand the reality of it all

The ones who were quick to offer listening tongues of judgment when life wasn't on my side

But now show no love once guy troubles and low self esteem are no longer my topics of interest and my dreams they pay no interest in

So now I'm a part time friend with no benefits, no insurance no care unless my mind is needed

So I wave good bye

To the misinterpreters who swear they've interpreted me but don't even know a third

Sized me up and down like their figurations mean something

Placing me on a level I've been surpassed and conquered

Anxious to see me fail, nervous to watch me prevail

So while I succeed to the top

I wave goodbye

To the past loves, lost loves and the loves that never flourished because they didn't deserve that growth

The fake players, greedy heart snatchers

Whispering tainted hymns of love devotion in my then weak ear

But now I'm at my highest peak overlooking their downfalls while they’re lost fake love making in synthetic sheets of girls they wish that were me

So I wave goodbye

To my premature ignorance, the old days

When locking lips and bodies was my self definition

Handing my heart on a paper plate with a napkin to any young male who posed the slightest interest

That I took as authentic companionship or something similar to it

But the dissimilar is what I injected

The least I'll never seek to explore not as long as my mind stays true to the heart and the one never slips away...

I found him...

So I wave good bye

To the early morning sunrises and late night sunsets spent on the balcony of my high rent apartment intaking unhealthy substances to numb the pain

Of loosing my child, loosing my mind, loosing my first love, loosing friendships titled as the best and loosing my self respect

The senseless situations I opted to remain in because my inner conscious I deprived the chance to speak

The hard lessons I looked in the eye then beat with a bat and gave the friendly peace sign to

So I wave good bye...

To the old self and I welcome with a greeting card and a hug..the new me..

I wave goodbye

Antoionette,I am proud of you for admitting your mistakes and downfalls so that you can become the type of person that you are.Everybody and I mean everybody make mistakes. No one is Superman and each and everyone of us have a kryptonite. You have learned from your mistakes and now you have become a stronger, better and beautiful person who deserves to be happy and to have all the best things that life has to offer.I applaud and commend you for it.You are simply an amazing person and it reflects from your poetry and what you have dealt with in your life.Take care and have a Merry Christmas
