Does air pollution have a solution?

Through many, many eons past
I drove to work through smog and sludge
The Long Beach basin was my home
That hired me from eight to five.

Refineries provided work,
And air pollution was my game.
We spewed out stinky H-2-S
That made me cough from eight to five.

But things have changed, I'm glad to say
I left in time to save my lungs
And I'm no longer working there
I breathe fresh air from eight to five.

Among my friends who never left
I say: "live on as best you can."
But I'll no longer gag on stench
I breathe fresh air from eight to five.
