In the air, swirling with dust,
Are tears turning into mud.
Lost in the vortex of breath.
Mixed with cabon dioxide,
Exhaled from others.
Who cried these tears?
Who felt the lonliness of nothing?
Claiming space in the universe
As trees clean our oxygen.
Did the tears evaporate?
The air suck them up to the sky?
To rain down on us
As some distant person
Drinks them in water.
They came from my body.
A part of the heartbreak that I felt.
Waning bits of hydration
To complete the recycling of my life.
