There was a time when all I knew what was mine and then there you stood before me and my eyes opened wide.
It was like a shadow from a time when things were so true so real so unknowing - yet so very "knowing" all along and then a moment in time passed us by
for so long...
and then there you were as you stood there looking at me
with those same eyes - it was your face - that same glance... yet now a stare...after all this time...
We sat there together in the rain that night and then almost a year passed and there we were again...sitting in the rain on that stone bench and you asked me, in more words than I can portray- "For thou art mine?" and I said yes and I said yes again and again!
I knew then I wanted to spend the rest of my days with you by my side forever art thine!
I look back, the plans aside and often ponder of how things came to be this way. I often thank Him for bittersweet trials and tribulations had, endured and done. For if it wasn't for those times, I wouldn't be writing this poem and for thou art might not be mine...
He has a way of showing us our path if we choose to see the light. Even on a rainy night there are still signs, even like a butterfly fluttering over a flower in the sunshine on a bright day...the way is truly the way we see it, the interpretation from within.
Intuition is the key to our future lined in the clouds or the sunshine...even on a rainy night.

I have been blessed, much the same as you, and wonder what I could have possibly done to deserve such happiness.
I think it best to not ask the gods to explain themselves when it comes to love.
