Trembling as I awake
cold and alone
instantly I notice
you are gone
the nightmare of losing you
it finally came true
come back I cry inside
tears of tremendous loss
are all that remain
at my side now
trembling as I fall fast asleep
I dream that when I awake
I will find you here next to me
in this very place
then suddenly morning is here
and you are still gone
