What Does Anyone Ask?

What is it we ask of our children?
We ask them to keep clean, mind their manners
Do their homework and their chores
And, not to sass or harm another.

And what do we ask of our teenagers?
We ask they not get tattoos or body piercing
We ask that they come home on time
Drive carefully, study well,
Respect others and not to experiment
With alcohol or drugs.

And what do we ask of our spouse or good friend?
We ask that we can communicate with one another,:
Help each other and cooperate with others
And that we be there, each for the other, in time of their need.

And what do we ask of The Lord?
We ask Him for courage, strength, wisdom and peace
Healing for one who is ill, and for His help to guide our lives
As we all live, and try to do our best.

And what does The Lord Ask of us?
He asks that we love Him, share our lives with Him
And to live by His Commandments.
The Lord God Also asks that we help those in need,
That we might find a lost soul and guide them to The Light.
God asks us to help someone in need, and to be a Samaritan.

And what then, do you ask of yourself?
We must KNOW and SEE ourselves well enough that
We can take a good look at ourselves, our faults
And the ways we treat other people.
When we find faults, we must remedy them,
So that we might all forgive, fix and heal ourselves.
