As I lay upon the soft white sand

Holding my lovers hand

Listening to the band

Playing music in the stand

As the hot gleaming sun glistens upon me

I begin to reminisce with the one I love

About our dogs Dove and Love

The special moments we shared

How much our dogs Dove and Love cared

How they were always there

When we needed them the most

Their love,

Their companionship,

Their playfulness

Always bringing a smile to our face

Especially when they would race around the beach

Acting like a little leach

Following us everywhere we would go

The warm ocean waters,

The white silky sands,

The fresh food stands,

Even the sandy, beach bathrooms

They were right by our side

Never a moment spared without them

Where ever we went

They were there

Following us every step of the way

Our hearts were like magnets

Drawn to each other

By our love

Bonded as one

No two dogs could love a person

The way they loved us,

Their love was indescribable

The way they protected us,

The way they loved us,

They were as special as can be

They were always there for us

I will never forget all the special memories we created

All the special times we shared

It is special times like these

I will carry in my heart

And cherish forever

As we journey down life’s path of adventure
