Missing my son who is in Marine boot camp.

My heart feels empty

I can't stop the worrying

I think about you every moment of every day

I long to hear your voice. I need to hear it

When it's late and everything is quiet, if I listen hard enough, I can almost hear you playing the keyboard.

I do everything I can possibly think of to keep my mind occupied, but it's never enough.

I pray that my worst fears never come to light.

I respect your decision...and I respect you for your patriotism as a US citizen. But I'm your mom and I just want you home again.

Missing my son.....Mother's day was hard!

This was a tough read for me...made me remember my own brother when he was in the Corps. It was a time of pride...and much fear. Graduation at Parris Island is beautiful though...he deserves much respect.

Heartfelt. Both the pride you have in your son and the longing you have as a mother are well reflected here. Nicely done.
