Where were you on 9/11? This poem is a revision. Every September (the whole month) should be a time when we all reflect and remember what happened that day. Amen X 110! PHOTO: My wife, Liz, when we visited New York City in the summer of 1987. This was my hometown for 18 years as I was growing up. NOTE: The World Trade Center can be seen in the background.

I feel the pain and the hurt It’s 9-11 again! I wear the flag on my shirt It’s 9-11 again! I see something, it's a plane It’s 9-11 again! It is off course; pilots insane? It’s 9-11 again! Why is this crashing into me? It’s 9-11 again! I feel the fire; I see the debris It’s 9-11 again! People are falling from the sky! It’s 9-11 again! People yell and the children cry! It’s 9-11 again! Another plane comes, within an hour. It’s 9-11 again! It crashes into the other tower. It’s 9-11 again! Before long, two towers fall. It’s 9-11 again! Some run away; others crawl. It’s 9-11 again! Ashes and dust fly all around It’s 9-11 again! Steel and glass, tumble down. It’s 9-11 again! Husbands dead, wives are gone. It’s 9-11 again! The families pain still lingers on. It’s 9-11 again! We must hope; we must pray. It’s 9-11 again! Pray for our enemies on this day. It’s 9-11 again! Pray that they will understand. It’s 9-11 again! We are united and we all stand. It’s 9-11 again! For love of God and fellow man. It’s 9-11 again! They must know, they must see. It’s 9-11 again! That united we stand for liberty! It's unthinkable that this could've happened the way it did. Especially when earlier a powerful bomb in a van by the same group of terrorists went off in the basement garage and had the buildings evacuated. Intelligence knew who they were but failed to recognize that they would be able to attack using airplanes.

I also wrote a poem about 9/11 and posted it.
