Christmas Sausage Fest
Elder Odin penned a love poem for some poet Ron,
Who was wooed by mirror poems by some pious John,
Regis wrote tons of limericks of some dude named Jude,
Who seemed very temperamental for a hippie dude.
There was poetry galore on this Christmas day,
There were plenty happy poems, reverent and gay--
Authors came and brought together laughter, mirth and joy,
Celebrating their pensions or being unemployed.
Just remember that this Christmas is a sausage fest,
Come like Joel, Ed or Lester, minimally dressed,
Neath the hanging mistletoe we'll make romance--
We'll stroke ourselves with poems instead of our hands.
