If you want to enjoy the freedom of a democracy, you must keep it alive by being aware of it. [Lecture #132 – BELIEVE IT IN, Neville 10/06/1969]
Neville tells us, “Man insists on talking about his problems.” Abraham explains this talking on and on about problems, as how we build momentum for things that are really launch pads for the birth of ideas for new and improved versions of the experiences we observed and perceived. In moving forward with these teachings, we could, if we are willing, enjoy the thought of these new and improved versions. I like thinking problems are launch pads. Just the idea of a launch pad is forward moving. It is such a delicious thought – even so soothing. But like anything else in consciousness, it takes practice, thinking launch pad when something uncomfortable gets my attention. I like knowing the only reason I feel discomfort in any situation is the vibration active in me. Knowing this is so empowering. IOW, I can do something about any vibration active in me. Getting it that any thing I identify as a problem is my personal launch pad propels me forward along my journey of expansion into more and more of the fullness of who I am. I’m so okay with not being finished. I cherish the idea that I am ever expanding and gaining more and more clarity in each moment. Feeling a situation “problem” is for just a moment – just enough to let me know I am ready for a new and improved version of that situation. The moment I catch the idea that I am on my way to a new and improved version I set joy and satisfaction in motion. I feel good about what is unfolding. This is how I move forward, move into alignment with the new and improved version of myself, with the new and improved version of how I view situations like the one – my launch pad. This is how I persist in the assumption of my desire fulfilled so these thoughts of mine harden into fact. I so love the good feeling feelings that come when I am thinking thoughts of the new and improved versions of things that get my interest. Any subject works for me.
