Earlier in my story I talked about applying the “thoughts and plans of man are of no effect” line from the Psalms to deal with media news reports. I expanded its use to things people say and do that stir my discomfort such as anger, sadness or upset. While programming this concept into my thinking, I discovered the situation does not change simply when I think “thoughts and plans of man of no effect”. I found I had to live the concept as my Truth and view the world in and through an atmosphere where what people think and plan do not influence the way I feel about myself. I had to reprogram my thinking.
I stopped letting the thoughts and plans of others to influence my thinking and noticed changes in my wellbeing and self-perception. Buying into what others think and plan sacrificed my personal integrity – by reacting I fell into a state calibrated lower than 200. Trying to figure out why they acted or spoke as they did or even trying to get them to stop doing what they were doing showed I reacted in lower consciousness - shaping my self-perception. All this showed my need to focus in the higher vibrations and reprogram my thinking to move forward.
Seeing what I was doing in my psychological drama, I knew I really needed to reprogram my thinking. Conversations I held showed I had a low view of myself. My self-perception reflected the state I occupied and that I had arranged the contents of my mind with images of being left out of plans and overlooked. I had noticed changes in friends and felt uncomfortable because of what I saw and heard. Feeling discomfort – upset, anger and sadness – reflected a sense of betrayal, even vulnerable and unsafe – a clear need for reprogramming.
As I observed things going on around me triggering those feelings I realized I had bought into what I perceived to be thoughts and plans of others and created a self-perception of one who was dismissed or not valuable. The more attention I gave the words and actions of those I saw, the worse I felt. I had fallen into a state of lower consciousness and thought I could fix the matter – until I suddenly saw I had missed the mark.
What mark had I missed? With the power of consciousness I am always creating new events and shaping and reshaping my self-perception. Contemplating being the image and likeness of God I found it easy focus being universal, infinite, omnipotent and omnipresent. But as certain events appeared, I missed my mission. I had to see each event as opportunity for me to live by the law of Imagination and the law of identical harvest. To even give thought to what others around me are thinking and planning pulled me off track. How difficult this was for me! I realized I was still conformed to the world’s way of being and doing when I tried to fix a situation or worried about what others thought and planned. I don’t have to fix or figure out anything – my only task is to release some pent-up energy.
What? Right! It took only a close examination to realize the pent-up energy was my unfulfilled desires that required a corresponding self-perception to be released. Letting thoughts and plans of others in my life take up my time and attention, I don’t release the energy of my desires. I knew what I needed to do – and I did it. Immediately I contemplated a desire as though it was already fulfilled and I noticed my mood shifted so quickly – I moved from feeling bad about myself to feeling like a happy camper. Interestingly the desires came up in inner dialogues with the persons in this story, but mostly as a side issue. Anyway when I came to my senses, I started the process of reprogramming my thinking so the desire was fulfilled and I live it day in and day out. I kept my attention focused in the inner life experiences of my fulfilled desire.
