Jesus and the Red-dyed Porcupine Quills: Blood of the Barb
A Biblical Fable
by Sage Sweetwater
There were no thorns present. The crown was embroidered with red-dyed porcupine quills colored in a bath of wine. They didn't fester sins.
The cross was placed by the roadside where the porcupine died. The porcupine died for our sins and bled for the banishment of dogma.
Jesus split the roadkill porcupine with the concubine who held the castration knife. It fixed cattle and the ram. Jesus and the concubine each held the knife, the concubine's hand first upon the blade, and Jesus' hand over hers. They moved surgically in unison, cutting the porcupine's belly. They pulled out the entrails and attached them to the oxen bell. With bare hands, Jesus and the concubine plucked out the 20,000 quills in the pellage and boiled them free of disease in a kettle of wine. They bled blood of the barb for the healer's scar. "Thou porcupine sacrificed its life for thy sake of religious sins. Dogma is dead!" Jesus announced to the crowd of people. "Dogma is dead!"
I'm sorry, but I need to see a affidavit that the subject porcupine was in fact, roadkill, and not some harebrained scheme to froth up the masses, dogma being in the eye of the beholder, especially if it's dead. Patrick
