In the previous installment of my story, I told you about deprogramming and reprogramming my thinking using information from Hawkins. In Power vs. Force Hawkins discussed his calibrating consciousness at different levels as our capacity and individual offsetting power. In numeric values – one individual at 500 (love) offsets 750,000 individuals below 200; one individual at 600 (peace) counterbalances ten million below 200. Love and peace are two elevated emotions with offsetting power, a tool in deprogramming and reprogramming my thinking.
For the longest period I merely quoted these values, but this changed the day I viewed concepts as energy and my action with concepts as moving energy. Using Hawkins' map of consciousness as a guide, I viewed concepts in their locations in consciousness – using their calibrations. I saw I could draw energy from higher consciousness to offset energy in lower consciousness. This is key to my reprogramming process, recognizing how I radiate energy as I think.
I noticed how it happened: I think and energy moves – and I am always thinking. Thinking a person, place or thing, I think energy of a concept and give it meaning. I move energy with the meaning I gave it – in higher or lower consciousness. Criticizing and blaming are concepts in the lower vibrations – below 200. Appreciating and admiring are concepts in the higher vibrations – at 200 and higher, radiating energy and light that offset the influence of lower concepts. Neville teaches – enter and occupy your chosen feeling state, such as love and peace.
I saw what I was doing: moving energy as I contemplate concepts. Primarily news reports are neutral: giving meaning to concepts in the reports shapes them. The reporters use commentary and express emotion to give meaning. I listen for the meaning when I hear the news, drawing from my perception of its impact on my thinking and my life: what will happen to me.
For example, when the news reveals a law that imposes a form of limitation on what I could do or where I could go, I react from my view of self. It might be a national or state law, or it might be a law in my homeowner’s association, or a rule in my family. I realized any person, group or institution that imposes limitation operates in the lower vibrations – below 200. Facing this law, I identify myself a victim or as being the image and likeness of God. Which do I do?
By nature, I object to the victim identity. But if I feel a sense of outrage and play out limiting roles on the stage of my mind, the news influenced my thinking. Here I fill the atmosphere of my inner life atmosphere with negative energy and images. No matter what the law is, it is a concept with a name, subject to my power of consciousness.
As soon as I remember “my power of consciousness”, I activate my offsetting power. Recalling, “I am the image and likeness of God” I “catch” myself “letting” the report impact my thinking. In that moment I ask, “Do I really want to give myself more limitation and negativity?” Just asking the question “snaps” me out of the mood. I think, “elevated emotions” and ask, “What do I want to feel? What atmosphere do I want?” The moment I recognize my preference for a new and different feeling I start the process of reprogramming how I think this news.
I see the advantage of realizing I am the image and likeness of God. It is pondering my qualities of being universal, infinite, omnipotent and omnipresent and the power of I AMness until I feel I am being the power of Awakened Imagination, the power over things produced by the thoughts and plans of man. Where I think myself a victim after hearing news of the thoughts and plans of persons, groups or institutions, I shift my focus: “I am the image and likeness of God – I am Awakened Imagination and in knowing this Truth, I am free.”
