Story about a young man who paints houses for a living
Reginald opens the fridge and takes a look inside. There is a
half eaten tub of margarine two eggs and half a loaf of bread.
Not exactly enough to lend out to the poor, maybe the mice?
Slathering a smudge of peanut butter over a slice of Weston
he rolls it up and wolves it down. He then opens the closet
door and plucks out his painting gear. He's got
a paint job over on 64th street. Mrs. Jolerd needs her living
room painted. He shows her the swatches and she picks a
lovely shade of blue. Often when he paints he daydreams
of laying by the ocean with a beautiful girl by his side. It
helps the day go faster. Normally he always does what the
customer asks for. Today he feels reckless so he decides to add

a hug. She smells of dried lavender and a hint of peppermint oil.
That night he feasts on pizza while reading a passage from Beata's
old bible.
1 Chronicles 29:3-5
"In my delight in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all the gold of Ophir, and 7,000 talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings; that is, for all the work done by a craftsmen who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the LORD?"
He lies on his bed and sighs, ..

Seems to me that Mrs. Jolerd should have given Reginald a hefty tip for all of his artistic rendering. A hug doesn't put extra food in his fridge.

Talented young man. Reminds me of my nephew. Also makes me wonder what the rest of the story is.
