Mary Matthews has just discovered that she is pregnant with the most loved man to ever live, and he will soon walk the earth once more. A madman is trying to murder her before that day arrives while another person fights by her side to see it through.
Meet Mary Matthews, a woman who was once very religious but has now lost her faith. When she was a little girl her father was heartlessly killed because he had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even though she had prayed to God to save him her prayers were ignored and her father died right in front of her, thus causing her to abandon everything that she had once believed in. Now she is a grown woman who discovers to her surprise that she is pregnant, only the father turns out to be somebody whom she would never suspect and that person’s son is destined to bring about an age undreamed of. Only now, a crazed madman is trying to kill her before such a thing can happen while another fights to see that new day come, both of whom are angels of God. While the two of them are on the run they begin to fall in love as they live for the day when the King of Kings will walk the earth once again.

“Would you mind picking up that letter opener there?” he asked motioning to the letter opener that was sitting beside some stacked files. Mary picked it up and held it out for him. “Excellent. Now would you please jam it into your abdomen? You know you want to.”
Mary stared at him wondering if she had just heard him correctly. She assumed she had because his voice was very deep and clear, very articulate, as if he were the kind of person who was used to speaking and addressing people, holding their attention. It was impossible to not misinterpret what he had just said no matter how tired she was. And the way he was looking at her, as if he were anticipating something really good. Finally, she said:
“Are your out of your mind?”
He laughed and shook his head.
“I thought so. I just thought I might try, anyway. Well, let’s get started, shall we?”
“Get started with what?”
The man pulled his right hand back, palm open and Mary looked at him in surprise. For one brief moment he looked as though he were the quarterback for a football team and he was getting set to throw a very long pass into the end zone that he was sure was going to be caught, thus winning the game in the final moments and achieving victory. Then, he swung it forward and it collided with the glass. The sliding window to her station immediately shattered inward into what seemed millions of pieces. Everyone in the room looked up at the sudden, jarring sound in surprise. Mary screamed and involuntarily threw herself back, her chair rolling across the section of plastic flooring underneath it until it banged against the wall behind her. Even as she was doing it she was horrified as she thought of the glass that was falling around her, scared that she would be cut to ribbons, could feel pieces of it flaking onto her uniform and hair as she protected her face. Fearing the worst, she opened her eyes and looked about her, her clawed hands still in the air. There were glass fragments of various sizes everywhere, on the desk, floor and her…but to her surprise she had not been hurt in any way, not even one small cut. She then looked up at the man who had been the cause of all of this.
He had not moved at all, he was simply staring at her, still wearing the same smile.
The lobby occupants did not waste any time. They had either all gotten up or were in the process of it and making for the door as quickly as they could, including a reluctant and heartbroken Mr. Pennison, some of them even leaving their belongings behind more concerned for their lives than whatever trivial items they owned. For all they knew the man causing the commotion was a terrorist and had a bomb or something worse under his jacket.
Mary tried to ask the man…what? She wasn’t sure what the words would have been because nothing seemed to be coming out. Her mouth and throat felt too dry to be able to speak. She knew that she should get up and run, but she was so rooted with fear that she couldn’t move.
The man disappeared to her left and a second later she heard the door attempting to be opened, the knob jiggling. A second later, he leaned back into view and calmly reached around the opening so that he could unlock the door. That taken care of, he retreated from view once again, walked into her work area and stared at her, still smiling.
“Who…who are you?” Mary finally managed to say in a strained voice, hands still in the air as if saying she surrendered.
