"Blah. Blah. Blahy Blah Blah." That's all I hear out of my stepmothers mouth. Actually, that's better compared to what I usaully hear. I always get crap like, "Your such a loser, why can't you be like your perfect sisters Macy and Kira?" For a while I started to believe what she said was true, and my self-esteem was really low. Luckily, I found a friend who help me forget about my suckish life-style and remember the good things about me.
I met her around the age of 10. I was sitting on a park bench all alone, and she came up to me and gave me a hug. She already knew something was wrong, so she didn't even bother asking. I can almost hear her voice: "But you are pretty! Besides, I have seen Macy and Kira, and trust me, you are way better then them!"
But I haven't even come close to believing her. My mom died shortly after I was born. She was dying from cancer. It was only a few couple of weeks until she passed away. So my dad spent every moment with me trying to forget about her. On my first day of Kindergarten, he had a harder time letting me go inside the school than I did! We could tell each other anything. Then he got married. He had more distance from me, but I was fine with it because I had two new sisters to keep me busy. Everything started to look up. I had a wonderful family and a good life.
Then my dad died 4 months after he got married to Lucy (my stepmother). I was only eight. I was crushed. But Lucy took it really well. She seemed really depressed at first. She never came out of her room. The twins had no problem with it and they called my a crybaby ever time I locked myself in my room. They didn't understand. I felt like nobody could understand me.
Lucy signed me up for a loss group, where we all share our obstacles with letting go. The problem was, it was a year after my dad's death and I had no problem. It took place right after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 3:00 to 4:15, so I had no time for after school activities. That was Lucy's plan after all, and I actually believed she was looking after me. I really loved gymnastics, and drama club, but with the help of my oh-so-wonderful stepmother I had to give all that up
Now I'm 16. I'm out of loss group, in case you were wondering, so I now can do gymnastics. I also have an outrageous plan for the rest of my life. Get a's all through high school so I can get an acedemic and an athletic schorlarship, and MOVE AWAY from the place I have to call home for a while, become very sucessful entreprenuer and sell a book. Then retire at age 30 and marry a wealthy man and be a stay at home mom. Perfect, right? Except my G.P.A. is at 3.4 and I know nothing about being an entreprenuer.
