In this book I describe my childhood which was spent traveling with a military family.  I was a precocious child who was difficult to handle, but was always included in the gifted programs at school.  The alcoholic personality, which included a borderline personality disorder of indifference to others, began to surface in, about junior high.  I began to exhibit the characteristics traits of sensitivety, grandiosity and immaturity.  

In this book, I deliberately focus on myself, not because I am self-centered, but because I don't want anyone else drawn into my illness of alcoholism.  I've recovered from my days of other and self blame.  I have been sober for thirty-two years, thanks to the power of a loving God whom I surrendered to at about the age of 38.  I have been a church member since the age of forty-five, and have been very influenced by some of the preachers in various Pentecostal churches.  I've also read some great Christian writers such as Charles Swindoll, St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, Charles Stanley and many others.

I am also a playwright and graduated from the University of California as a PhiBetaKappa in English literature.  I have won a local playwrighting contest with two other writers, have produced three plays in San Diego, and am working on a fourth.  I could not have overcome my alcholism without many recovery meetings through the years and the support of many friend who loved me until I could love myself.  

This is not the typical drunkalogue, but includes interpretation of many spiritual dreams with the help of my knowledge of the Bible and psychology.  As a prose or drama writer I am influenced by the Romantic poets,, William Inge, Chekhov, Wendy Wasserstein, Shakespeare, Eugene O'Neil, Emily Bronte, Tennessee Williams and, again, many others.  I'm always reading something and I hope you will be inspired by the results.
