This is a series of biographical sketches of fictitious Board Members, originally created for entertainment at Board Meetings. Based on the premise that humour does not need to be hurtful, and that in fiction anything is possible, we have a broad spectrum of unusual characters, each of whom made a significant contribution to the Board.

Dieter had a talent for very entertaining two-sided monologues, of which this is a sample:
I wonder what is for dinner.
What do you fancy?
Oh, perhaps a nice rice dish with a bit of meat.
Pork perhaps?
Do we have any pork?
I don’t know.
Well, why don’t you ask?
I did ask.
And what was the answer?
I don’t know.
Why, weren’t you listening?
Yes, of course I was listening!
And what was the answer?
I don’t know!
As he got older, his mind became as confused as his biography. On the first day of a new semester, he greeted his class with these words:
Friends, Romans, Countrymen! Cover your Ears! Is it nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or buy now while supplies last, and get a free puppy? Can I go forward when my heart is here? Hung be the heavens with black, yield day to night!
Then he cited his sources: Julius Caesar to Hamlet in Romeo and Juliet’s third act of Henry VI.
