Mariah's eyes widen enormously as Sergeant Marshall came bounding in angrily. He was irate, so much so that he was shaking and the anger she realized was directed at her. As he came quickly towards them his eyes bore into hers furiously. Mariah dropped the files she was holding and stepped quickly behind her aunt, terrified. Sergeant Marshall stopped instantly, still staring at her. Rose Dade looked from one to the other, wondering what was going on.
"Can I help you, Sergeant Marshall? Is there a problem?" she asked
"Yes, there is a problem!" he shouted, his voice thundering as he pointed at Mariah. "You took my children to church!" he stated lividly. "What makes you think you can go against my will and push my children into that mess? Is there a problem with reading instructions in this place? I specifically stated on my application," he paused angrily, "that I am an Atheist and you." he stared at Mariah, "and you took my children to church against my will!" his voice exploded again.

That moment the door was opened. It was pushed so quickly and forcefully that it thudded up against the wall, leaving an echo in the center. Mariah’s eyes widen enormously as Sergeant Marshall came bounding in angrily. For a moment she thought it was because of her not returning his calls, but then she looked into his eyes. He was angry, so angry that he was shaking and the anger she realized was directed at her.
As he came quickly towards them, his eyes penetrated hers. Mariah dropped the files she held and step quickly behind her aunt terrified. Spencer stopped instantly still staring at her. Rose looked from one to the other wondering what was going on, sure too, it was not because of a missed phone call.
“Can I help you Sergeant Marshall? Is there a problem?”
“Yes there a problem!” He shouted then and pointed to Mariah, directing his reply at her “You took my children to church!” He said furiously.
