Is Christianity all about salvation?. I agree that Jesus came down to earth to save us from ourselves. However, the main theme throughout the Bible is about how our Heavenly Father would like us to love Him and love each other.
THE WORD SALVATION IS ONLY MENTIONED 114 TIMES IN THE BIBLE
The word 'love' and variants thereof are mentioned 686 times in the New International Version. That's a lot! This contrasts the word 'salvation' which is only mentioned 114 times in the New International Version.
GRACE RAINING DOWN FROM HEAVEN?
Salvation comes about because of the love shown to us. Unreciprocated love cannot flourish; we all know that. Yet many believers think that grace will rain down from heaven no matter what.
Our Father sent His Son and Jesus gave His life so that we may be saved. How are we responding to that? By 'saying' that we love and follow Him? Or 'acting like it?'

Salvation
We’re told that the Central Message of the Bible is one of salvation. Sure, I reckon the Holy Word spells out quite succinctly how to save us from ourselves. And I say this only partially tongue in cheek.
What if the salvation story, you know, the faith and grace, is just part of the story? What if the main premise is one of love? A life filled with love now. Not later. Not once you’ve died and gone to heaven; if you would be so lucky. But right now!
Love truly
This small book is about how to love truly according to The Bible. I’ll be quoting what our Father and His Son say about it.
I love Marie Kondo, the decluttering expert. Her motto is that we should ‘get rid of things that don’t spark joy in our lives.’
You can consider this book like a ‘Marie Kondo’ shortcut on ‘how-to-love-truly.’
Ancient wisdom
it’s not my own words I speak. I merely repeat age-old-wisdom which has been ignored, forgotten, and misinterpreted for millennia.
I pray this to be a wake-up call for the reader as it was a wake-up call for me when I came across this ancient text.

Do We Have a Universal Love Language?
People quote from the Bible all the time. But I hardly ever hear people correctly quote what our Father and His Son say about true love.
Every Christian I meet tells me how much Jesus and His Father love me. I rarely hear anyone mention that love is always a two-way street. There is no true love without that exchange. Just as there is a limit to a mother's unconditional love,’ and I speak from experience.
If you’re basking in that ‘unconditional love’ that’s forever flowing from heaven, this book will challenge you and those ideas.
Whilst doing research for this book, I randomly asked various people, ‘What is true love?’
Some music fans referred to Pink’s hit single ‘True Love,’ which starts off saying that sometimes she ‘hates every single stupid word that he says.’
That’s not my kinda love.
Others mentioned a song by Tex Perkins where he sings that ‘Love is doing the dishes.’ And I remember the signature tune of the ‘Minder’ series, ‘I could be so good for you,’ sung by Dennis Waterman.
These are sentiments that I agree with.
Most people I asked about true love agreed that it involves mutual respect, trust, honesty, acceptance, loyalty, empathy, and commitment.
When I asked people specifically, ‘What is love according to the Bible?’
Many answered something like, ‘We are to love others as ourselves’, or, ‘We are to love our neighbour as ourselves.’ Some people said that ‘God is love,’ and ‘love is kind and patient and so on,’ or, ‘we must obey.’
And whilst all of this is true, these are summations and hardly tell us ‘how to love’ and what ‘true love’ is.
Do unto others
If, for instance, we were to just say, ‘greet others the way you would like to be greeted,’ you could get in serious trouble.
Tibetans greet by poking out the tongue, Japanese people bow to each other, some African tribes jump as high as they can during meetings, while many European cultures kiss and shake hands. The variations are endless.
Telling someone to love or greet others the way you like to be loved or greeted may work if you have learned how to love and care for yourself and whilst you move around in your own neighbourhood. But as soon as you travel and meet with people from other cultures, you’ll need a universal language that is safe and works in each and every situation.

Does such a (love) language exist?
Yes it does. God’s Holy Word elaborates on how to ‘love others as ourselves’ and tells us in great detail what true, fearless love is, and how we are to reciprocate.

this means that we have not
really learned to love.

If you experience fear in your relationships you have not learned how to truly love.

Love others as yourself. You need to love yourself first and take care of yourself before you can love others fearlessly.
Are you keeping yourself safe from harm?
Do you experience fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, fear of punishment, fear of not being loved back equally? This is a BIG one. We all want to be loved. But are we fearful of not being good enough to be loved? Are we loving ourselves as well as others fearlessly?
