Terry and her friends had planned the end of the summer camping trip for months, deciding that this time, they’d go to Black Bear Forest. It would be a long hike to the camping area, but for Terry and her friend, Amy, it would be an adventure. They were avid campers, and expert hikers, but nothing could have prepared them for the horror they were to face within the compounds of that forest. Her eyes closed, her body shook with fear, her mind thinking of her family, and the life she was leaving, recalling how she had so wanted to go into medicine, but now that wasn’t going to happen. This was the last day… the last moment of her life, and she was spending it with the slime of the earth. Her anger mounted. She wanted to reach out and strike at him, but her hands were bound. Her eyes opened as she faced her assailant. She could smell his stench in the air, and her last prayer was that justice would be done.
