Our lives turned upside down when the phone rang one morning in February 1991. Our Spiritual journey had started, although we were not aware of that at the time.
In 1991, our world halted in its tracks with the death of our youngest daughter Lisa - a talented ballet dancer and teacher. Our devastation, which made us wonder if there was any point in carrying on, led us on a roller-coaster journey in our search for some answers.
Drawn to the Spiritualist Church in our quest for proof of the after life and the survival of the Spirit after death, we met Stephen Holbrook, a naturally gifted medium who was to change our lives for ever. With his support, love and compassion, we have managed to move from pain and despair to rebuilding our lives and helping others - through the knowledge we have found.
This autobiography offers those grieving the loss of a loved one a glimmer of hope that there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel that is bereavement, with the assurance that the Spirits of those that have passed away live on, can interact with us in this life, and ultimately will be reunited with us in the next.

On the Monday morning we got up early - the dogs needed their walk and I needed to go shopping for the extra food, as my cupboard was nearly bare. Because Lisa was a dancer with lots of energy she had a healthy appetite,but she was also one of those lucky people who was naturally slim, even though chocolate was frequently on the menu!
How I envied her, with her long arms and legs. She was so graceful in the way she moved, having a typical ballet dancer's physique. As a baby she was like a little doll and never suffered with puppy fat as she grew into her teens. Where she inherited her body from is a mystery, as her father, myself and her sisters are just the opposite.
I quickly prepared breakfast and Roger came down into the kitchen, saying that he had to go into the office that morning. We talked over what we were going to do that day when suddenly the phone rang. I answered it, wondering who on earth it could be so early in the morning. It was a call that would change our lives forever.

One Moment in Time is a tear-jerker, and by that I don't wish to sound patronising. You'd have to possess a heart of stone not to be moved by this account of life after death and contact with the spirits of those who have passed over to the world beyond.
