'Return To Kaloon' continues on from where 'The Dogs of Kaloon ends'. It introduces humans back into the world of dogs, where they meld into the dog society as new citizens bringing the use of motorized vehicles into their culture. Peace is also semi-established with the cat world.

For a moment Welch stood staring down at Tucker, eyes wide in astonishment. Then he shouted. "You're a dog! You're a dog!"
"Yes...Yes, I am a dog. I'm a dog from Kaloon. I live over there. Over there, across the valley." Tucker said, by way of explanation.
"But...but...!",Welch protested. "You talk like a person! And you walk on your hind legs! And you're wearing clothes, and...and."
Tucker frowned. "All dogs talk," he said in a matter of fact tone. They always have, at least I think they have. You're a 'Man'...I think you would know that!"
"Well, not from where I come from, they don't". Welch sputtered.
