I knew I was going to hit her and deliberately run her off the road. I wanted her dead. I remember shouting just that. I slammed into the rear of that little Citation and it began to careen out of control. I watched smiling happily as it headed straight for a utility pole, knowing she would get what was coming to her. The car slammed hard into the pole with an eerie screech and loud thud. Still feeling very proud of myself for what I had done, I approached the wreck. she was alive and slowly began to open her eyes. In the next instant she saw me and just stared at me. Not the frantic frighten look I expected. It was different - almost an empty stare, a hopeless stare, an innocent stare from innocent eyes. Something stirred deep inside me; I don't know what happened at that moment. Did I become instantly sober: I wasn't sure, but suddenly I felt lower than a snake. I couldn't watch any further and I fled those innocent eyes, but the memory was burned into my mind forever.
Rachel and Michael are from two different worlds. He an Army Sergeant and she a Christian. They are engulfed in a circle of incidents from their first meeting which ignites in Michael an unyielding hatred for her, and in Rachel a terror that threatens her well planned life. the circle comes full and closes with a very exciting ending!

This is a wonderful book. I could hardly put it down. But I set it aside to read the Bible. Then I’d pick it up and read more. Color Us Jesus is also a teaching tool. My husband also read it and he wanted to tell me everything that happened in each chapter. I had to quickly read it for myself before he told all. The story-line of "Color Us Jesus" is an absolutely wonderful subject. The book has great characters, an excellent plot and encouraging material. Some of my very favorite sections of the book was when Rachel told Michael the story of her childhood while they were in the hospital or the letter Michael wrote to his mom. I also enjoyed the description of the wedding. Each of these sections were very well written and flowed nicely, conveying the authors' emotion and I enjoyed them.
I must say, however, the grammatical errors, misspelling of words consistently throughout the book (such as; signed and not 'sighed' or discussed and not 'disgusted') or poor pronunciation made the book hard to follow and read easy. I mention this only because it was severe, not just a couple typo's and disrupted the easy-flow of the book.
All in all, though I loved the story-line and enjoyed the topic.
