Pastor Jack Smithers is back. He has been to university to train as a social worker and also to be refreshed following a heavy workload at Winmouth Community Church. Now, fully trained, he is ready to return and pastor the church. 
It is not long before he meets is arch enemy Sgt Johnson who begins to read the riot act to him. He is also re-united with Andy - his guardian angel and ex SAS veteran (so he says). 
Before long, Winmouth begins to rock and roll as Jack, with fresh ideas, opens a day centre under the church. People off the street begin to attend, one of them, Yorkshire Tom, who insists on singing 'Strangers in the Night' to a packed church as he stands in the aisle at an evening service. Then there is Gertie Cresswell who sits in the congregation winking at Jack as he is trying to preach his sermon. Of course there is Andy, whose escapades as Jack's protector bring us lots of laughs. 
You will howl as the book takes you through lots of hilarious adventures.
