The following phrase has been used many times in the life of Irishmen as a toast be-fore dinner. “I want my neighbors to respect me, trouble to neglect me, an angel to protect me and heaven to accept me.” I think it’s very appropriate for people of all persuasion ,and Bull Riders in particular. I would also say it has a lot in common with the character of this story. From the beginning of time, wild cow and bull riding has been an exciting and challenging sport for the gladiator looking for dangerous competition. Unfortunately , in recent years major objections from Animal groups have reduced it’s acceptance in a number of major cities as a cruelty to animals. In this work I have endeavored to enlighten the reader, in a small manner, as to the real world of high dollar bull riding where the animals are the real Champions and are held in the same regard as million dollar football players with a hand full of oats for reward. The bottom line is, you don’t mistreat or punish your income providers whether they are giving milk or providing entertainment and customers for the hospitals. I have tried to provide a realistic look at a champion bull rider’s life in today’s society and how events shape his life.
The reports I have personally received for this book are accolades that I never thought would ever happen. It has been described by one reader as the best he ever read and refused to return it to it's owner until he had received his own copy. I was shocked by the fact that he wanted to read it over and Over again. I could never hope to write anything better. In shock, I remain, but highly gratified.
