Traveling from Florida to Niagra Falls and across the heartland to Washington State. A favorite stop was Watkins Glen State Park in New York. We spent all day there following a path through the gorge and 833 stone steps, 19 waterfalls, tunnels and even a walk behind one waterfall. The gorge was 400 geet down. We met so many wonderful people on our trek through the park (fully pictured in the book.
Also, we walked the bridge in Seneca Falls where It's A Wonderful Life was filmed.
We made a quicl stop at Florida, MO and visited Mark Twain's birthplace and house.
These are just a few of the adventures we had on this 40 day trip across America.

For months, we have been researching national parks and monuments, state and local parks and anything that looked interesting along the way. I used the RV Parky app to plan our route and found the app to be extremely helpful, not only for road mapping but also to locate places to stay. You can zoom in on the map for details and points of interest then add anything that looks interesting. (Warning: You may discover a lot more than you ever expected.) There is a database of all the RV Parks and Boondocking locations—Walmart, Cracker Barrel, Cabela’s, etc—and lets you know if boondocking is allowed or not. It lists the facilities at the RV Parks, pricing, phone numbers and sometimes photos. It also has ratings from one to five stars.
Early Sunday morning (08/29), we drove to Tampa to pick up the same RV model we reserved the previous two years. We parked in the side lot where we could safely leave our car for the duration of our trip. The office manager met us outside and did a quick once-over with us of the RV’s exterior, then the interior. With papers signed off, we went home to start loading up.
