Conceived to bring order to my somewhat chaotic kitchen, Mmm...No1...Cookbook is a collection of 50 recipes that can be described as "Every Day Cooking For Every Day Lives".
My kitchen is full of cookery books. There are region specific ones, celebrity television chef ones, food specific ones, curry is a particular favourite, and even one that explains how to catch, kill, hang and cook a possum! Added to this are a number of recipe cards that have fallen out of magazines, extracts from newspapers and periodicals, and hand written recipes passed down through the generations. Many of the books have pages stuck together, particularly the messy Nigella ones, whilst many of the magazine pages are torn and faded.

This rhyming picture book is filled with colourful illustrations, most of which were drawn by primary school children. It tells the tale of two small boys who set off in search of adventure. They hitch a ride on a turtle and sail for the Port Of Tumbattle (where pirates once fought, and sabres once rattled). On their way they encounter pirates and various strange creatures as they search for lost treasure.
