The Other Side of the Coin

“The other side of the coin…”

This statement was made by a fellow author who likes to critique my writings periodically.

Through the years, it’s become easier for me to accept the opinions of others even when they aren’t in agreement with my own. We are all entitled to our own opinions, so I take it in stride when someone has a different one.  It’s a privilege which we are afforded, thanks to our freedoms here in America.

If we as individuals can learn how to disagree agreeably, it makes interaction an even more tolerant opportunity.

We are living in a society, which according to my critic, continues to improve with age.

Even though I disagree to a certain extent, there is a note of truth to this philosophy.

In my opinion, what we are seeing today is actually in principle a repeat of history.

While modern technology continues to increase, the dumbing down of the mind of man continues to increase as well.
We rely on electronics to do our thinking for us now, so memorization and learning have been put on the back burner. Look out, Alzheimer’s is on the rise.  According to statistics, “by the year 2030, the number of American individuals with Alzheimer's could approach 8 million; if scientists can't find a way to cure or prevent Alzheimer's, this number could range between 11 million and 16 million by the year 2050.”(Health Exchange)

The news media is flooded with all kinds of antics, some fake, some true, and so many are based on the democrats versus the republicans. Politics has always been a divisiveness because the love of money is the bottom line.

The last eight years have proven just how far left people can go when given the mindset of the libertines.

Even before then, but the last eight years have catapulted us into a “every man does that which is right in his own eyes” agenda again.

When a can of worms which defies the very basis of what creationists believe and what our country was based on from the beginning, for the sake of progress, is opened, all kinds of snakes start crawling out.

I’ve stated that fact more than once, and continue to be amazed at just how reprobate man can truly become when given the opportunity to live without boundaries, accountability, responsibility, or any of the attributes which are obtained when the mind is sane.

The generation gap continues, and for sure each generation feels the new generation is worse than their generation was at the same age.  But, truthfully, it just proves that the heart of man is deceitfully wicked, when it lives a life without God.

Most people do not like change.  We are creatures of habit, nesters for some, others prefer no roots or boundaries. Like a piece of driftwood, they can float with the tide, and not have to assume responsibility.

Back in cowboy days, they were referred to as drifters. We still have those.

The human life has little to no value.

Sure, there have been killings, mass murder, rape, and destruction throughout the centuries. That’s life.

But, when we can blatantly sit by idly without taking action to draw the line and say “Enough is enough”, then we are giving consent to sin’s rampage.

The other side of the coin is just that.

To quote a song lyric, “a little less talk, and a lot more action”, is going to be required.

As Americans, we are under siege, on our own soil; now more than ever in my life span.

And the President of the United States is a hated man because he speaks with volumes the same sentiments I embrace.  That’s why I voted for him…not because I liked him, disliked his opponents, but rather saw his values and priorities which our country has been lacking. I don’t take personal his hair style, his manner of speaking, even though I have to admit I do enjoy his humor and nicknames! LOL!

For too long, the floodgates have been opened, and we have a diluge of anti-Americans who are now in the process of attempting to sabotage our Constitution, our freedoms and implement the very atrocities which they left and came to America to get away from, or so they implied by leaving bondage for freedom, in my observation. Political correctness is a term which needs to eradicated from the human language, regardless of nationality.

I’ve never seen a Southerner, by the way, retire and move north…but the South, on the other hand, is bulging at the seams of northerners who have moved South, yet want to bad mouth us true Southerners. Just sayin…that one’s for you, sir.

Same principle we are seeing in every arena—rich football players taking a knee to protest, when the very freedoms this country affords gives the right to do so! Ironic? No, I say, idiotic. It’s delusion…bordering on reprobation.

Hollywood we see doing the same; threatening to go on strike.  Have at it. I say, when all is said and done, and the buck stops, there’s going to be a different song sung.

The other side of the coin…yep, every coin has two sides.

Ours is usually heads or tails, when flipping it.

Yet in reality, it’s the same coin, just has different connotations.

So, buckle up, as I love to say. It’s coin flipping time. We are about to experience the other side of the coin, here in America.

Vengeance is promised, by God. He says He will repay.  Payday is coming.
