''Carol D. Mitchell'' (born May 12, 1955), in Los Angeles California - is an American author. Her interest in books comes from reading Richard Wright and Claude Brown in high school.
Carol attended Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California where she studied Child Development. Her work is characterized by family values.
Her first book, What Happened to Suzy, was self-promoted. She achieved growing attention in 2008 with her second novel, Your Rights, What Employers Do Not Want You to Know.
In 2008, another of Mitchell's Novels, Rovella Starr, (A Love-Starved Bitch), received rave reviews on Amazon.com. & Barnes & Noble.
Her most recent work, Rovella Starr, (A Love-Starved Bitch), was published on September 20, 2008.

Personal Life
Mitchell is the mother of two sons: Shuun Evans Caldwell (34); Daryle Dean Thompson Jr., (26). She married Daryle Dean Thompson, Sr., in 1981. When they married, Mitchell was in her mid 20s; Thompson was the inspiration for the good guy character in What Happened to Suzy, (First Edition).
Mitchell divorced Thompson in1993 when she married Willie E. Mitchell.
Mitchell is the sixth of sixteen children born to: Zebbie Thomas Charles & Tasceaie Carise Charles
