For Black Americans to know the difference between right and wrong — to have knowledge on how to take care of our own — will forever be difficult for future generations to recapture. Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and other the so-called "Freedom Fighters" raped and pillaged us at the dock, on the boat, and on the plantation. For mulatto descendants of women who were just sweet morsels of "African chocolate" for adulterous plantation masters, recovery comes slowly. Now we rape ourselves with the materialistic ventures of a white America that doesn't really give a damn. Why should you?
Being "average" AND Black AND American is a strange concoction. Roots was great for Alex Haley, but it didn't tell Black folks jack about who they really were. It's not like we can say we have an Irish, Swedish or Greek background to boast. We're just an impure garden-variety mix of African-plus. (Read "all the skinny" at the website below).
