Our parents abandoned my little brother and me. When we were 15 and 17 years old, knowing little English, we sailed across the Atlantic during a hurricane. We traversed America by train to visit our relatives, who had invited the two of us. They promptly forced us into involuntary servitude. For two years, we worked on their dairy farms. They did not pay us or feed us enough and would never allow me to shower. Thereafter, I was forced to live in extreme isolation by a vast mud flat, in a shack with unstable dynamite under my bed. And I did not even have an outhouse.

But since we were now in America, the land of “unlimited opportunities,” we wrestled our bulls to the ground. To escape my servitude and to pay for college, I took “the toughest job in town.” Nightly I wrestled tons of lumber, and with such heavy labor, I worked myself to a five-year engineering degree. My brother became a Fulbright scholar. After graduating, we obtained our citizenship. And within two years of working at starting wages, my new wife and I had earned enough to travel around the world for six months.

I don’t have to elaborate about the wrong, illegal path to American citizenship. Morally correct Americans despise our federal government allowing, even encouraging with our hard-earned dollars, millions of law-breaking aliens to invade our country. Even though most are working hard for us, they are breaking laws and mock us.

Moreover, more than a few invaders have committed serious crimes before they get here. President Bush, this is the wrong path to citizenship. I beg you to enforce existing laws. If not, all other laws will also be become meaningless and speed us toward national anarchy.
