Born in New England, raised in the midwest...fell under the spells of Lovecraft, Chandler, Bester, HS Thompson, Ellison, Zelazny, in that order, early in life. Tried to write like each in turn and still can't resist wearing those influences on my sleeve, for amusement's sake if nothing else...worked as a cabdriver for many years, relocated to the desert southwest, where I pursued my muse in the light of the dawn over the mountains.   Moved once again to uber-green upstate NY...where the spirits of the Algonquin are preserved in so many place names that sound like alternate Cthuvians (cf. Canandaigua!)

I'm still alive.

That must count for something.

My stories and articles have appeared in an assortment of places, under a myriad of names, in a variety of genres, and I own up to the good ones. Haven't won any significant awards for them recently, but I've been paid for some of them.
