Imhotep the great sage, prophet, physician of the ancient World continues the next phase of his pilgrimage along the river Nile intended to reveal to the World the real passion story of Osiris. The story that had already become perverted and distorted by the priests and Pharaohs.
(continued from parts I and II
(11)
On the 11th night Imhotep warned: I will now reveal to you terrible secrets. Let the weak the fearful and the poor in their resolve go hence and leave.
Session 7 being the 11th night
the story of momentous happenings in heaven after the birth of man
At the birth of man and for the first time there was near rebellion in heaven the gods saw through the momentous happening. The unbridled joys and dancing and chanting of Amen and Amaunet inflamed them. There was a great hubbub in heaven to the effect of:
A freak thing has happened by freak Accident or through the tears of Amon the god colluding with the spirit of Amaunet falling on mother earth
An obvious tripartite collusion!!
Look at them as they dance and sing!
A freak viable creature has emerged
It is not programmed like all else in creation
Not programmed and viable
That sounds impossible
thousands of free genes!
what counters this dangerous unpredictability?
Creativity, learning, memory, observation, perception, language communication, art, music ? will teach him and open channels for him to be greater than the gods!
This dangerous aberration must be destroyed or stopped
Great division took place in heaven,
A whole host of new secondary gods were born out of the reaction and anger and resentment of the gods scheming and plotting the downfall of this new pair which seemed to everyone’s jealously to be the answer to Amen’s longing for milions and millions of years.
Most of the heavenly host considered the new creation (man and woman) a betrayal by Amon and Amaunet of their trust and loyalty and incessant obedience, to the letter, of whatever law they were created subject to.
Dissident forces and angry frightened energies at the birth of this upstart pair helped emerge new powers all designed to curb or fog the creature's awareness of his true nature and potential. Their brief: to hound the humans without let or mercy round the clock and leave them no space whatever for self perception:
upon this Imhotep decided it was time to leave Abut and lead his followers all hastening towards Thebes
(14)
the eighth session being the fourteenth night of the pilgrimage
and being the first song at Thebes
Having duly warned his audience Imhotep makes a subversive revelation
By that time Imhotep and his growing flock of followers arrived at the heart of Thebes then a small relatively unknown village which Imhotep knew in his heart will become the birthing Capital, the womb of the World for 45 centuries to come beyond which he saw the whole fate of creation hanging in the balance. His heart new that either the self-destruct seeds or Osirian-return seeds will have the day at some critical balance point in the distant distant future.
His heart assured him the Osirian-return seeds will win the race over the self destruct seeds but the rational part of his mind told him otherwise and he felt a terrible foreboding. If the power of the secondary gods was not neutralised by then, the self-destruct mechanisms will be released and quickly the point of no return will be reached.
Imhotep toured the whole city, blessing every corner with ravishing music and incantations. He yearned for his blessings and love to extend from Thebes to cover the whole world.
Imhotep finally settled himself on a high rock, asked to drink his fill of the incomparable Nile water which he was sure delivered nourishment, inspiration as well as hydration, then he started on one of the most dangerous chapters of his story to his enraptured audience:
Exposing the illegitimate birth of the secondary powers falsely called Gods,
So you see my loved ones not all the god’s were on man’s side nor were all the Gods naturally or legitimately born out of Amon and Amaunet’s primeval treaty with matter and energy.
There was a shocked silence
Terrifying information from someone who had reached the topmost position and rank in the Empire.
Imhotep went on: Amon, Amaunet and Osiris later, were reassured by their certainty that, apart from the inherent Gods, with whom they vowed a treaty at the birth of time, all the secondary Gods had no power whatever on man or his descendants unless he believed in them.
All the secondary Gods that have become the most powerful of our day and for centuries to come till the general awakening or the general extinction. All are non-inherent powers. They were never empowered by Amon or Amaunet. Their only source of power is in men’s minds
The population of Thebes and even Imhotep’s core of excited followers were terrified.
Imhotep gave examples to a shocked audience of secondary gods that emerged AFTER the birth of man with the unsuspecting collusion of the victims to a shocked and terrified audience he named Gods of:
Rectitude
Propriety
Revenge
competition
punishment
Sin
REPENTANCE!!!
power
sexual repression
control
power
might
gold
Gods of “have” possession, greed
God of Me and mine and little Ego, my tribe, and my race, my me
God of fear
God of Body denial
God of domination
God of generation to generation repression
God of imitation
God of ideology
God of torture
God of arms and weaponry
God of militarism
God of racism and doctored myths
God of feminine denigration, denial and exclusion
There was a gasp of disbelief: so all theses gods are false gods
Dare we even dream of it ?
This time the flow of energies was reversed there were cries of anger mixed with terror from the audience:
“Had we not known you and loved you as our honest, beloved and magnificent teacher we would have torn you apart limb from limb. How dare you denigrate our revered Gods? Accused a group of listeners who were obviously challenged beyond endurance.”
At this point some people noticed a group of the audience dressed inexplicably in elaborate and expensive grey linen suits, hiding their eyes and features behind big dark sunglasses. These mysterious people kept their dark glasses on even at night causing everyone to feel uncomfortable. They wielded curious wireless machines which had not been invented at the time! Members of this bizarre group went into agitated whispered murmurs and signs obviously sending and receiving information, then withdrew quietly and in a hurry,. Imhotep’s inner eye told him that they were spies of some of the false gods exposed, rushing to inform their relevant high priests about his “evil doings” and about the dangers emanating from his pilgrimage and his stories not forgetting of course to warn that Imhotep’s following was growing from village to village day by day , hour by hour
Imhotep felt a sense of urgency, as he was certain he was not going to be allowed to continue for long. How and who will stop him, he did know. But he was certain he would be stopped and the channels to the people will somehow be blocked .
His story and message will be transformed and neutralised, like was done with Isis and with Osiris so effectively. In his heart’s eye he saw himself being finally destroyed and banished from men’s minds and hearts by deification and exaltation. He realised the importance of the breakthroughs he had achieved in architecture, medicine and music but saw that these sanctified will be turned into major hurdles for free minds and hearts to come. His great but limited knowledge of body structure and function as it is turned by his worshippers into god’s gospel will close the door to all invetion and innovation for a long time to come. He shed a helpless tear.
There was a rising chant: false gods. False gods!
Some starry eyed youths were inflaming the masses shouting :
revolution now
Revolution now! Destroy the false gods!
Imhotep was deeply saddened
And Imhotep said:
Quiet please. Calm yourselves loved ones.
You haven’t been through except a rudimentary introduction to knowledge and you think you can change the world now!
Not so fast . please. Do not rush to condemn lest you should turn more culpable than the condemned
Have you not grasped how the false gods are created. How they are maintained have you not grasped yet how the living god is destroyed? How his essence is reduced to rituals and images?
The villagers were ashamed and eventually became quiet.
Imhotep went on: listen and you shall have understanding, know and you shall be freed. But remember:
To learn you have to unlearn.
To perceive you have to unperceive.
To know you have to unknow.
You have to become like children.
A perpetual virginity reborn.
Which one of you is able to be reborn like a child?
There was a wild excited cry from everyone in the crowd.
I, I , I , I ,
Me , me me!!
And Imhotep reacted sadly and wearilly.
Promises easilly given are promises not grasped or kept
These easy promises are promises easily broken
They are promises by those who do not perceive the extent of their responsibility
There was a confused silence.
The valley people said amazed at Imhotep’s rebuke
“Surely it is the easiest thing for a mature and healthy adult to be like a child. These very limited and dependent beings who know nothing! Dependent enough to be our slaves and playthings”
And Imhoep went on:
Your children are not your slaves or play things .
You don’t own them!
They are the most precious seeds entrusted to you temporarily to cultivate and to water and to let grow until they can water and cultivate themselves.
Your maximum prerogative is to discover and marvel at what they will grow to be.
Which one of you is ready to face a hungry lion naked and barehanded in the desert?
No one answered
And Imhotep said:
Let me tell you my loved ones
The courage needed to unlearn in order to learn, is far far greater than the courage needed to face the hungriest and most ferocious lion alone in the desert. Your children are doing that all the time and the ferocious lion does them no harm!
The villagers were truly puzzled
“Imhotep is speaking to us in riddles again”
your children are not only those beings you may be blessed to have outside of yourselves. Inside everyone of you are children wailing to be created and to be allowed to grow.
I have frequently heard your wailing that your masters won’t release you but let me ask each one of you: have you released the children upon whom you have been given mastery ? especially the children inside you?
The villagers were even more puzzled and confused. Imhotep stared into their faces overflowing with love and yearning for the miracle of understanding.
Listen then to my story and be patient. Give the seeds time and space to sprout. Give air, sunshine and water to grow.
But certainly turn yourselves into a fertile land that does not cause the seeds of knowledge and of love to dry up and suffocate. Let these the loveliest of seeds grow!
Grow them! You are the worlds first growers! Open the spaces for your seeds to grow!
Imhotep’s heart jumped 40 centuries into the future.
He twisted with pain and when he came to,
He shouted at the population of the valley in a resounding cry:
You are the Worlds first growers. From where? And how? did you import this inexplicable all engulfing sterility? How??? Who and what plunged you into this deep rigidity!
The people were completely baffled
Tell us of the wars in heaven a group cried out hoping to escape the terrible questions which they could not understand.
Imhotep came round and calmed down slowly, he promised to resume his story the next night
(15)
the fifteenth night
being the second chant at Thebes
telling of the first great war in heaven.
and Amon said to the angry Gods hoping to enlist their understanding:
“all we have created is programmed and responds only to the rules we have built in them I have been so lonely. There is not one thing in the whole of creation that has the imagination to do something else! They are all so obedient! Who will testify to all this ever-growing splendour? Who will survive not by killing and destruction and preying but by love and non-violence for to create the space to perceive this splendour and allow it to grow and grow to the full potential”
the audience was riveted.
Instead of appeasing the anger in heaven Amen seems to have inflamed it.
More havoc, anger, jealousy and rebellion erupted amongst the gods
“Amon is bored of obedience let us rebel then let us reverse our programs in defiance!!We shall disobey. Reverse every programme.”
Imhotep turned to the people of Thebes. May be you do not understand me fully now but please remember my story.
When the relevant time comes the perception will turn on within you and sing to you surely. You have already seen some sublime happrnings that are born out of heightened consciousness.
In you my loved ones before I go I seed the the seeds for the future of all mankind and all animals and plants, the Osirian dream. The day will come.
Beware of the closed and deadly circuit of reaction and counter reaction it is no freedom it is no revolution . it delays growth and is no revolution. Tit-tat tit-tat leads no where.
Eye for an eye policy makes the whole world go blind. Always search for the creative alternative this is your birth stature your birth right.
(16th night)
the third sermon at Thebes telling of
the prophesy
Then it came to pass that at this stage of the first great war in heaven, the Goddess of prophesy looked in her crystal ball and spoke in a semi-trancee addressing an angry gaggle of secondary gods seething with jealousy and anger
He has the powers of observation, recording and memory
He has the powers of induction observation deduction, interpretation
He has the power to understand the mechanism of things
He has the power to extend his powers beyond himself
He has access through love to use the forces of nature and to harness the primordial laws
In time he will surpass all things if he manages to make use of cumulative experience and steer a clear, integrated and conflict free course if he knows Maat
He has the power to love
He has the power of art
Of perception
If he knows the essence of justice Maat, love and non-violence he will be the ruination of us all
In time we will not have any power over him.
He will be liberated through his own creative potential
The villagers sensing their egos so inflated cheered
Imhotep gave a displeased glance and went on with the story
The dissident God’s took up her prophesy:
Liberated through creativity? Or destroyed via vulnerability!!
To make art to write a poem he has to be vulnerable
Creativity entails vulnerability
He has to feel he must need secure areas of freedom and safety
He is subject to pleasure and pain he is subject to desire and resentment
he is vulnerable
The goddess of prophecy said:
Now my crystal ball is speaking to me in riddles
He is neither animal nor God but he is potentially greater than both
The villagers cheered again:
Imhotep shouted sharply for the first time:
Wait lest your cheering turn into lamentation. Wait and listen
The goddess said horrified:
He is capable of depths of degradation unimagined even in hell
There was a deep hush
he is capable of sublime transcendence that reaches and even surpasses the heights reached by Amon and Amaunet themselves
He is not immortal but he carries within him the seeds of immortality resurrection and recurrence are built in his make up
I sense your anger and hate, she said to the gods, but I see within my crystal ball Gods of our kind and creatures blessed with the secrets of the pathway to the divine, turning their backs on heaven forfeiting all privilege by choice , falling in love with this abomination so deeply so intensely as to be ready to even loose their godhead, accept embodiment in a lowly vulnerable body, become one of them and share their lowly vulnerability. Even now I see a peculiar energy fogging and engulfing the form of our beloved and great Osiris through the thousands of years opened to me through my crystal ball I can make out bizarre names that fall prey to this fatal affliction the love of man, strange unknown names unfold in my crystal ball P.. pro…. , D. …. Dioa J J G G G A A A Ama.
Oh tell us their names great Imhotep. Hope of all peoples. Tell us Curer of disease lifter of suffering.
Great teacher tell us the full names. Of these who will truly love us so we support them and raise them in our hearts above all kings.
Imhotep gave a sad smile: what is the use beloved ones!
If you know you know them
If you do not know them you will not know them even if I told their names, even if chance would have them live in your own house.
There were puzzled murmurs:
Our great Imhotp is speaking in riddles again
