Why Did I Write Fatal Addiction?

Reasons:

* Licensed pharmacist with ultra years experience

* Owned two pharmacies

* Retired for twenty years but returned to research substance abuse and addictions.* Did relief work for three years, one year in a Detox Center.

* I haven’t seen a pharmacist share his knowledge in a book to join the fight against drug abuse like I have.

* It upsets the devil out of me when I see teenagers addicted at Detox Centers.

* At book signings I have autographed my books for every person who can think of a reason not to let me know this book is for themselves.

* It usually is for another member of their family or a friend, so they say.

* So many don’t admit it is for them. That’s when they are searching for a way to get off the drug hooking them.

* This weekend I had a beautiful 27 year old mother of twins kneel beside me to admit she is addicted to Lortabs. There was a tear in each eye and she needed help. As far as I was concerned, I needed to help her as much as I could. So I gave her at least thirty minutes. She gained confidence and left with a smile with Fatal Addiction under her arm.

* Next story; This made me want to throw up. A mother was hooked on Oxy, she had a baby sitting in a stroller all day. Her pants had been messed up for hours several times, she was teething and screaming at the top of her lungs. The mother was screaming and occasionally slapping her.She kept throwing her pacifier on the floor, so the last time her mother picked it up to rub Oxy on it. Shortly thereafter the baby overdosed. When in court, the Judge couldn’t give a ruling on the case being a badjudgment call.

* Who are the number two group in the world classed as drug pushers? Most every one misses the answer to this question. It’s senior citizens.

*Think about it; How could they go out and get the drugs to push, from their own doctor. It only takes a little more sympathy to increase the medications strength. Follow me? From one month to another the pain can easily get worse. How in the world could they push them? Many sweet senior citizens are transported once a week to go on a shopping trip. There they are, enjoying a walk through the department store. They try on a dress in the fitting room, the drugs are left and soon exchanged for cash by the pusher. They can afford most anything after the sale. Now, are you a believer, quite possible isn’t it?
