Hooray! It's time for the "Puppy Bowl III", with the "Kitty Half Time Show".............

      Well, yesterday being Sunday was a day full of enjoyment. Although I was well aware the Super Bowl was being aired between the Colts and the Bears I chose to kick back and watch something else. I added a short blog on this topic, but thought a little elaboration was in order.
      Alas, I chose to indulge in the "Puppy Bowl III" with the "Kitty Half Time Show".  It is called "Puppy Bowl III" because this was the third year to be aired by the Animal Planet. Just much too adorable to pass up.
      First, the entire layout is of a football field with designated water bowls sunk into the ground for all the puppies on the field.  As each of the puppies first enter the field, they are introduced to the camera, ie. television audience just like the real football players.
      Puppy toys of every assortment are scattered about. The puppies range from about twelve weeks and younger. If they run out of water, need assistance or just become tired, there is a referee that steps in to take care of matters.
     They have a time out to refill the water dishes, which have a camara underneath "Dish cam". You are privy to observe the puppies drinking, digging, or just plain having fun with the water in the water dish.
     If any of the puppies become tired and lay down the referee will step in for a time out and pick up the puppy and take him or her off the field for a little while.
     On the side lines, the cheering crowd are another group of puppies with two RV's, lawn chairs, with a tail, get it, tail gate party going on in the background.
     When the half time rolls around, the referee literally must clean and clear the field of puppies and the crews proceed to set up the "Kitty Half Time". 
     The infield is decorated with an assortment of  fancy scratch posts, hanging toys and other cat toys spread out on the field. The kittens are also approximately twelve weeks or younger.
     They play and romp and roll and just appear to be having a good time for such tiny tots. They are the cheerleaders and entertainment spectatular. When half time is over the field must be cleaned and cleared again and the puppies once again make their debut!
     The entire show was just as precious as could be. This year is the first time that I put a DVD in and recorded the entire three hour show.
     I hope that some of you also had the opportunity to watch because it was just darling. If you did, hope you enjoyed it as much as I. From now on I will be a faithful Super Bowl fan, that is Puppy Bowl, he, he.
