The story caught my eyes,200 girls rescued from vice.Apparently the girls were being smuggled by a tour agency from another country.The same situation keeps on occuring in my country,where foreign girls from indonesia, china and the philiphines were offered jobs in my country as maids or waitress.The so-called agent will charge them 1,500(us dollars) for the flight ticket, visa and passport.The girls were given tourist visa and the agent will hold their passport.
Once they entered the country,they're placed in an apartment and locked from the outside.A guard will be looking after them.The story will change, that actually they were sold to vice ring.
The leader will threatened the girls by saying that they have been bought for 2,500(us dollars)per person, and now they have to work to pay their loan.Confused and scared with no identity in my country they were forced to work as sex slave.
Their services as prostitute or "chicken" begins.Usually, their service starts from 6 pm until late morning.Sometimes they have to work 30 days ,no rest.
One girl admitted she had to service between 15-25 clients a day.She said its hard, eventhough she's tired or in pain.She is not free and sometimes she get slaps or beatings from her boss.
To cure the pain and forget what's happening, these girls were given drugs such as morphine or amphetamine.The vice operator does not give the drugs in high dosage, because the clients prefer a girl to be alert while on the job.
These girls can be found in night clubs as cover ups.Sometimes men visit these places and were offered extra services for merely 20 (us dollars) for an hour.The whole night would have cost him 80 (us dollars).
Usually these girls were hidden in the back of a small room and only when their service is required, the boss will call them.
There is another kind of place that offers extra sex services, that is in the massage parlour.The boss will ask if the client require extra service and will charge 20 to 40 (us dollars )depending on what the client required.
These girls were oppressed and not paid for their so called job.Their debts to the vice ring never decrease,no matter how many years they've been there.One of the girl admitted, that her services will cease until the day she die.
I am sure this kind of modus operandi is being practised anywhere in the world.Young, innocent girls hoping for a better life are being duped by mean, greedy people.
Prostitutes don't earn high income and yes sometimes they are drug addicts.To start off their cravings, these girls were injected with drugs or given drugs.When they have no alternative, they were forced to sell their body.As a woman, i know being a prostitute is a not a dream for us. As for the income, sometimes these girls don't even get paid or maybe earning 10-20% of the payout.
Prostitutes are people like us, it's just they are not so lucky.They have no choice.There will never be an end to these, no matter how hard we're trying to eradicate.Because of the chain of supply and demand.
How do i know?I was there,being the head of the law enforcement unit, my duty was to rescue the girls and deporting them back home.My advise to them,stick to working in your country,no matter how low the pay is and don't believe if the pay is too lucrative.
I know right at this very moment,some more girls are suffering waiting to be rescued.My prayers are with them.
