When a mystery/suspense novel leaves you thinking about the characters--and your own character--for some time after you've turned the last page, it's worth talking about.

We read for different reasons. We read for work, for pleasure, for distraction, for relieving stress, for learning. The reasons for which we are drawn to the written word are as numerous as the number of reading options at our disposal.

Every once in awhile, we might read something for one reason and come away with something more than we expected. This, you might say, is 'value-added' reading.

If you're drawn to the mystery/suspense genre, then you most likely find the page-turning, nerve-wracking, 'will-he-figure-it-out-in-time' approach appealing. But what if all along the journey of your investment of time into that work something larger was happening under the surface of the story, and it--as well as the ending you were working your way toward--results in an unexpected personal journey of your own?

When I Fall is more than just the story of a run-of-the-mill window washer trying to solve a missing persons case that Philadelphia's finest have chosen to ignore. Invest your time in this value-added novel to find out why.
