Made in China might not be all we in the US envision...

First we had pets dying because of cheap additives to their food.

Millions of toys recalled because of lead in the paint. And then we have Mattel apologizing not only to U.S. consumers, but also the Chinese.

Now we have recalls after the deaths of three infants in cribs made in China.

I have one word for US manufacturers who've sent our jobs overseas out of nothing more than simple greed.

Karma.

What goes around comes around.

And when finally the last factory job in the US is sent offshore and our manufacturing capabilities are all but nil, what will America have then?

Vulnerability.

How are we to defend ourselves short of nuclear weapons if some hostile nation comes to call? We won't have any skilled workers to manufacture the parts necessary to build the ships and planes like in World War II, nor will we have a multitude of factories to convert to weapons making like we did then. Hell, in a decade or less, I doubt we'll be able to provide a Made in America helmet or uniform for our fighting forces--not with damn near every product for sale in Wal-Mart and other stores coming from China as it is. Sam Walton must be rolling in his grave to see his life's work turned into nothing more than a supersized Chinese outlet.

But China will have all those wonderful factories we helped them build, won't they? And they outnumber us in a big way, don't they? Gee, I wonder if any of those greedy bastards in Congress or their overlords in big business can add two plus two?

Greed is very short-sighted. And these recalls of Chinese-made products are just one huge sign of our decline as a nation. Believe me, this isn't going unnoticed by our enemies either. If I and others can see what is happening, if I and so many others can add the two plus two, so can they. And the truly intelligent among our foes know all they have to do is smile, take our handouts, our intellectual and financial aid, and simply wait us out.

Now, we could blame the American consumer for their greed, but in too many instances already there is no competing Made in the USA product to purchase. So, who's at fault here really?

Karl Marx said, "Give the capitalists enough rope and they'll hang themselves."

And that rope is at this very moment being made in China.
