Jealousy is something created by your own mind. It is the feeling of not wanting good for others.

When someone is jealous they are envious, resentful or bitter. Jealousy usually comes upon someone when they are not satisfied with their own life. It can be caused by a low self-esteem and it can be caused by guilt. When someone has guilt over something they may have done to another person, they form a jealousy for this person and they usually don't want that person to have any good around them. They usually want that person to be below their level, and this is not healthy or good for the soul. Someone who is jealous of another person, needs to immediately start recognizing that jealousy can destroy them quickly. They sometimes need to get professional help, if they can't let go of these feelings.

Jealousy has been known to cause anger, rage and much violence. No one should ever be jealous of anyone else. Appreciate who you are and what you have. If you need or want more, then speak to God about it.

Some excerpts taken from the book called, "Everlasting Peace In Your Life. God's Reminders to the World" by, Patty Pobanz which can be found here at Authors Den and at Amazon.com.

Dear Patty,

God wants to have the FRUITS of the SPIRIT. Jealousy is like cancer. I have experienced it as a writer - even among Christians. Then again, Christians are people too. They are not God. Many get angry when I talk about the Christian books that I have wriien. Why? I often wonder. Why? These books Praise the LORD and not I. So what's their beef? I am sorry to report they are human too.

Many blessings to you,

John Michael

Jealousy destroys all types of relationship. One person becomes jealous of the other, and it can divide families. I believe that jealousy stems from low esteem, or resentment of one person having more than the other. Jealousy leads to hatred and bitterness of others, and creates tension. It prevents us from being loving and supportive.
