As soon as I passed the border into Dracula country, and found my father alive, had no choice but submit to his will, enroll into Medical School. Dragged out of my last High School class straight in to the thumb of Dr.Megerle. His tumb turned right, that meant LIFE, and no here I was at the gates of a Medical School.

This is all remembrance.

In 1948 I was third year medical student, when my carrier had been almost terminated.
In the Festivity Hall of the Medical School gathered the Faculty and the student in excited mood.
The Communist Purificaton Commitee of the Medical School sat behind a RED table under the pictures of the SAINTS.
My name had been called, it resounded in the room and woke me from my reverie.
"Comrade, where were you after the war?"
"In Germany, Sir."
"Call me comrade."
"Yes comrade, Sir."
"In the West or in the East."
"In the West, Sir."
"What Army liberated you comrade?"
"The American Army, Sir."

Dead silence sat into the room.

"The Glorious Soviet Army liberated you comrade!"
"Never! I swear to God. I never saw a soviet soldier unless a prisoner of war and even they were liberated by the American Army, Sir."

I expected to be promptly arrested, evicted from the medical school.

"We arrived to the conclusion that the comrade is politically illiterate."
