MAKE A DELIVERY TO THE CITY, AND HARFORD ROAD CORRIDOR HAS - CITGO $3.79, ANOTHER $3.75, ANOTHER $3.79 - ALL IN LESS THAN A MILE FROM ONE ANOTHER - 30 CENTS PER GALLON AT THE SAME TIME PERIOD - IT IS PATENTLY OBVIOUS WHO IS GOUGING - BUT NOT ONE LAWMAKER, NOR THE ADMINISTRATION HAS THE TESTOSTERONE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!
3. BGE & CONSTELLATION 'RAPE' US - GOVT. DOES NOTHING! OIL & GAS CO'S 'RAPE' US - GOVT. DOES NOTHING! IT IS A SICK JOKE TO EXPECT ANY CHAMPION TO COME FORTH WHO HAS ANY BRASS BALLS TO FIGHT THEM!
4. ALL POLITICIANS ARE LIARS, CHEATERS, AND THIEVES WHO LINE THEIR OWN POCKETS --- AND THE MEDIA (FOX INCLUDED) HAS NO TEETH, NO INTESTINAL FORTITUDE, NO BACKBONE - ALL YOU DO IS 'RUB SALT IN THE WOUNDS' - REPEAT THE 'PROBLEMS' AD NAUSEUM, BUT DO NOTHING!
5. EXXON REPORTS THE HIGHEST 'RAPING' PROFITS IN ITS ENTIRE HISTORY - DO NOTHING CONGRESS AND OIL BARON PRESIDENT & HIS CRONIES - DO NOTHING! AT LEAST 1/2 OF THAT EXORBITANT PROFIT - 150 BILLION $ - SHOULD BE CONFISCATED & PUT INTO OUR NATIONAL TREASURY!
IN FACT, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE ENTIRE OIL INDUSTRY BE - NATIONALIZED!!!

But if you think we have it bad, many people desperately trying to get their families out of harm's way on the Gulf Coast, were being charged Double the prevailing price of gas. Today's American way - gouge people really hard in times of national disaster or crisis - sitting ducks are the easiest targets.
And both my poem and my article today concern the same horrendous subject. What a mess our nation is in right now - and it's gonna get worse, not better.
PS As I ventured out in the early morning hours after Ike struck, to check gas prices, I pulled into a tiny gas station and observed the owner peering down the road - with binoculars. When I asked him what he was looking at, he responded: "That big gasoline chain down the road - to see what they're charging - so I know what I can charge!"
Brass balls are good, Tom...been accused of such myself. ROFL
