Just some notes on my recent novel.

I remember when I began to finish what I hoped would be the final version to of "Baker's Dozen", some of my friends looked at my early pages complained, half--jokingly, that I had a tendency to use $100 word where a $10 word would suffice.  Sorry folks, that's the way I write.  I found I was able, for the first time, to make the conversations sound at least natural...  I think.

The prologue, with its Lovecraftian trappings, might make it look like the novel is going to be a rehashing of HP's ideas...  not so!  It was mostly set up that way to show how screwed up Paul Baker Colson's life was and how much more fouled up it was about to become.  Later in the novel, it is revealed how the prologue actually sets everything that happens later into motion.

I've called the eBook speculative fiction and fantasy due to the quantum physics used as a plot device.  I think I use it properly and I have always found the idea that there are an infinite number of possible universes very intriguing.  Of course, writing about group of people who are basically the same person was at times very trying: everybody had to have their own "voice" and personality.  Most of the people who critiqued "Baker's Dozen" over the year and a half I worked on it (this time!)  thought I pulled that off, successfully.

Well, I guess ruined the book for you now...
