The council went on, on and off, for nearly a hundred years.

The idea that Jesus and God were one in the same was a decision made by the Emperor of Rome himself. An official Edict given to the bishops to spread among the followers.

Out of this council, came the organization and structure of the new, official Christian Church, which was modeled after the political structure of the Roman government. Competing religions were outlawed, doctrine was standardized, and the Universal, Catholic Church was created.
