The Middle East, North Africa, and Obama
Last spring, Gov. Romney was caught on tape telling donors he believed there was “just no way” a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict could work. I came to the same conclusion, because on the same area you cannot have two states overlapping. Those who initiated this solution are not realistic and they seem not to know the conditions on the ground in that area. I can see a solution, only if the two sides love their families and their children and honestly intend to project peace for the generations to come. I don’t believe that Obama understood the two sides and knows the Jewish and the Arab history in that region sufficiently well.
It is not enough to be a president in order to be able to solve such a human problem. For that reason there is also no need to continue spending the people’s money and to keep attacking his adversary, just to be on top for another four years, while the last four years brought only misery to the American people, without seeing the light in the end of the tunnel. People cannot live with false hope or ideals which are not theirs. Mr. President, you are taking an enormous responsibility on yourself, at the expense of the citizens of the United States of America. I will say the same thing to any president who gets elected for the next four years if he doesn’t prove to be able to keep any promises he made to the people.
I believe that Obama was not ready for such an enormous task, according to what I heard and read about him and this is not all, because his life until now has not been disclosed, as even his school records are under confidentiality protection, not open like everyone else’s. His life was very complicated, between two religions and two different fathers, which was neither his choosing nor his fault. I recognize that Obama is a good and intelligent man and who had to fight his way consistently and with intensity to become what he is now, albeit by attaching himself to a socialist policy, which didn’t prove itself for over hundred years. I understand his feelings about the social side but depriving other people who do not share his views is wrong.
The ideal and the dream are neither a strategy nor a plan for the future. The fact that the United States helped or encouraged the Arab revolutions, without planning and thoroughly researching who would end up leading in the future, lacks responsibility in my view. Even today, not a single Arab country that survived the revolution can be called a success and even less a trustworthy international partner. All ended being under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood. Everyone who can foresee what’s coming could see that he Muslim Brotherhood would be the winner. The same result can now be expected in Syria, with the Muslim Brotherhood or Iran with El-Qaida taking over.
The end result is that instead of having a democratic Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, we have the Muslim Brotherhood as the winner and the leader in all three countries. I wonder what we have reached by following Obama’s thoughts, just the opposite of what could have been. We have now three countries which, with our money and effort are the ones which are fighting us openly or discretely. We are all stuck with Benghazi, forgetting the attack on our embassy in the other countries and no one is talking about.
1.In Libya: Benghazi - burning of the entire American embassy, cars, equipment, and the death of the Ambassador and tree guards.
2. Egypt: burning of building and other unknown equipment and loss of prestige.
3. In Tunisia: the damage is the burning of more than 60 cars parked around the American embassy, which cost more than US $ one and a half million, and burning of the American school, loss of equipment, time and prestige.
The damage is enormous, particularly the political damage.
In fact, every one of the host governments could have prevented the attacks and protected our embassies in the tree countries, according to different news.
After we saw what happen in those countries, our policy needs an urgent overhaul.
