Democracy in the United States of Obama,

 La démocratie aux Etats Unis d’Obama comme beaucoup le prétendent qu’elle existe, est en train de perdre ses valeurs. Quand nous avons un président qui fait tout ce qu’il veut, sans même présenter au Congrès et en manquant de respect pour la Constitution - pour moi, je vois cela comme une dictature. Quant à Israël c’est bien l’opposé des Etats Unis. Il y a une démocratie, même trop large. Aujourd’hui la gauche israélienne a une grande liberté et joue parfois un rôle néfaste, comme l’avait fait Shimon Peres quand il a convaincu Rabin à signer le traité avec les palestiniens. En ce temps-la, quelques Américains de Columbia University avaient truqué tout le système et avaient demandé à Arafat de simplement répondre par « oui » à leurs questions. C’était pour convaincre le président Bush, le père, qu’Arafat avait dit oui. Mais en réalité c’était Arafat qui les avait truqués, alors qu’il n’avait aucune intention de respecter tout accord avec Israël. Quand il est devenu président, le fils Bush l’avait enfin confirmé quand il avait dit qu’Arafat mentait.

Quant à Bibi Netanyahu, pour le moment il est le seul homme honnête et compétant, sage et d’une excellente famille, puisque lui et son frère étaient des officiers d’honneur et leur père était un amoureux d’Israël. Je pense que Netanyahu sera réélu ; il est le seul parlant plusieurs langues et connaissant bien la mentalité américaine, pour être un bon Premier Ministre et un bon interlocuteur.

Ce n’était pas nécessaire de sacrifier encore de jeunes Israéliens pour une guerre encore prolongée. Je trouve qu’il avait bien fait d’accepter le cessez-le-feu, en sachant qu’il ne donnait rien d’autre au Hamas et que le Hamas était bien décimé. Du reste toutes les guerres d’Israël étaient courtes. Aucune d’entre-elles n’a vu les Arabes lever les bras. Elles se sont toutes terminées avec un cessez-le-feu. Donc Netanyahu n’a pas trouvé nécessaire de prolonger la guerre qui aurait fait encore des morts israéliens.

Laissons passer encore quelque temps avec calme et silence et nous allons tous voir comment les palestiniens de Gaza vont se rendre compte de leur vraie situation. Le Qatar de même va se rendre compte qu’il avait fait une grave erreur en finançant le Hamas et en profitant de la présence de l’armée américaine chez eux.  A mon avis, toute cette histoire de Gaza et de Palestine était la pure faute de notre président Obama qui pensait redresser son prestige en voulant aider le Hamas et le Qatar. Bientôt Israël va surprendre tous ses ennemis.
