I wrote about this topic several months ago.
Since then, more murders have occurred.
Some perpetrated by Police Officers,
Others by individual Domestic Terrorists.
Just last Wednesday, a white male shot nine blacks,
In a church in South Carolina.
It was a "Hate" crime, but he left a survivor,
On purpose, to testify to the act.
Subsequently, a Manifesto, along with pictures,
Was found on his computer.
One picture was posed with the Confederate Battle Flag ...
Just yesterday, the Governor of South Carolina ...
Called for the Removal of that Flag from their Courthouse! Many believe IT is a Symbol of "White Supremacy"!
Obviously, he had planned a mass murder some time ago, But lacked the details of how and when and where.
It is my humble opinion that this type of domestic violence... Can never be totally eliminated.
A solitary Nut with a determined plan is unstoppable.
Assuming that every handgun, rifle, AK-47, and shotgun
In America were confiscated, and melted down ...
A determined Nut could go Online and find a recipe ...
For making a Freakin' Bomb, and purchase the parts ...
At any Home Depot, or Lowe's store!
Or ... she/he could use chemicals to poison a water supply ...
Or ... start a fire in a crowded theater, or office building ...
Or ... simply drive a car or truck into pedestrians ...
Or ... any other Goofy plan ...
UNSTOPPABLE !
Nor can Racism itself ever be totally wiped out!
As long as different Ethnic populations exist ...

Fear ... the Unknown ...
Hate ... the Differences ...
Envy ... Others' Successes ...

I live in Houston. The Vietnamese population exceeds 80,000. Many of these Vietnamese did not speak English. More likely than Arabic, the 3rd language to be added to the telephone answering machines in this town will be Chinese. They are moving rapidly into Houston and taking over the community formally dominated by the Vietnamese. It's a great melting pot we are living in. So far, Muslim violence in this town has been minimal. One Muslim in particular, Quanell X, a lawyer and leader of the New Black Panther Party in Houston has done innumerable good by intervening in racial disputes and freeing black prisoners wrongly accused by eyewitness accounts or rigged police work.
With travel and opportunity the way it is growing in a world economy, young people today, connected worldwide by the Internet, are more and more likely to marry opposite their parents' beliefs. While ideological differences may remain for a very long time, racial differences will probably be eliminated in time when we all become a neutral shade of brown.
Old hatreds die hard, but they eventually die when people become enlightened rather than afraid. Nuts and crazies will probably always exist, but we are more alike than different, and someday, in the future, we will all know that and the Hatfields and the McCoys will sit down, like they do today and wonder, why they had that feud at all?
