ODD STAGINGS #9: Othello and the Ghost of Iago
OTHELLO by Shakespeare, reimagined:
Iago is presented as a ghost,
who is only visible in a mirror,
or as a shadow,
or behind a curtain,
and is never plainly visible to the audience.
When Othello thinks he stabs Iago in Act V,
he is actually fighting with himself,
and he stabs himself.
And when he thinks he has committed suicide
he has actually killed both Iago and himself.
