I was afraid to go to sleep.

INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS
I watched that last night. I was afraid to go to sleep.

The only person safe is my xwife by marriage…nobody wants her body.

That was a disturbing film. I’m still having flashbacks. If anything like that could happen in real life, That’s’ the way it would happen!
Weeds from space, tiny microorganisms floating down to earth from galaxies far far away, brought here by some unknown “Force,” and snatching our bodies.

That’s the reason I have no plants or flowers in or around my house. Why take a chance, right! I kill more than dandelions.

MAJOR MOVIE FAUX PAS
Donald Sutherland, was driving a car in San Francisco. Suddenly Kevin McCarthy, the star from the previous version, came running out screaming, “They’re here,” which is what he was doing at the end of that film. A nice touch to connect the two, but really…
The second movie was filmed in 1978, the first in 1956. Do they expect us to believe that Kevin McCarthy was running around for 22 years? Allow us SOME intelligence!

They say you can tell a body that’s been snatched because they act strangely. In the movie, that little item was another faux pas. It took place in San Francisco. How could they tell if someone was acting strangely…were they acting normal?
Whoa, wait a minute, maybe that is why they used California? Those devious little pompous posies are smarter than we think.

I need someone to monitor me. I have no one. Julius is a car, and Lulu is an inflatable Doll. The Postman always rings twice but he’s gone by the time I get to the door. Little Caesar’s says I’m right in the middle of 4 stores but out of all their delivery areas. I have a sign on my door saying “Open to Solicitations,” but nobody knocks. Even the Avon lady won’t stop. I haven’t seen a piece of Tupperware in years.
Maybe I’m a plant already?

I need help! If you see me on the street, don’t pass me by. Ask me something. Stay away from sports and politics. At least water me…Just kidding! I’m a kidder, I kid.
Stop me. See if I kid? If I do not, that would be considered strange behavior. Do not spray me with Roundup.
If I am a plant it’ll kill me. If I’m not a plant it’ll kill me, (Slow death by cancer.) Either way I’m dead!
And of course I may just be having a bad day?

Penwose Out.

I saw the first version and found it rather campy scary. Although the idea of plants becoming the alien threat still is quite cool since plants precede us mammals by millions of years. Some think that plants are already intelligent and sing to them. I wonder if those plants sing back in a frequency we can't hear, but dogs can, especially when they with their leg on a favorite plant just to hear it scream.

Speaking of screaming. I am going to round up all of the Roundup and then drive to the plants where Roundup is made and use that volatile stuff to burn them all down. That's one way to get rid of those nasty plants. I'm an incendiary mercenary when it comes to chemical garbage killing all of the Monarch butterflies so that we can grow corn for gasoline.

Bye, George,

Ron
